The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) welcomes new Director Joshua Basseches. Profiled in the weekend edition of the Toronto Star, Joshua shares the visionary plans for the future of the ROM including the ROM Welcome Project - Plaza and Public Realm which, though still in development, will include: a street level cafe at the ROM’s northwest end, repurposing of the original entrance on Queen’s Park Crescent, a makeover of the lobby, a dramatic new window increasing light from the Bloor St. side, and clear connections between the ROM’s original building and its 2007 addition.
