The American Institute of Architects and the Committee on Architecture for Education has awarded The Richard Ivey Business School at Western University with the 2016 Education Facility Design Award, Award of Excellence; a recognition given to only six facilities in all of North America.

Jury comments:

“If James Bond went to a business school, this would be it. It is aspirational to their students in their quest to succeed. The rich materials and warmth speak to a clarity and consistent development across many scales. The plan is well-integrated with the exterior spaces, and the site plan is articulated to surrounding area. The next generation of mid-century modern ideas of space, light and materials resound here.”
