The current plans for the design of The Well, a seven and a half acre development at the site of the current Globe and Mail Lands, were presented at the City of Toronto’s Design Review Panel.
The most notable addition to the development is Hariri Pontarini Architects’ design for the office tower at the corner of Spadina and Front. A prominent anchor to the pedestrian-oriented mixed use neighbourhood, the 36 storey building will be a gateway between the shops, residences, and businesses of The Well and the nearby Financial District.
