This private dwelling is designed to integrate with the traditional neighbourhood fabric, while providing contemporary and innovative interior spaces.
From the entry vestibule, stairs lead through a library to second floor bedrooms and a third floor studio with an adjoining outdoor terrace. Cherry wood bookshelves, with accents in stainless steel are knit into the stairs. The interior aims to provide a comfortable and practical atmosphere for a modern family. Front and rear courtyards are connected by a gallery wall, running through the dining and sunken living room. The exterior palette of rubble stone, copper detailing, stucco and cedar shingles and siding knit the house seamlessly with its neighbours.
