Hariri Pontarini Architects continues to shape the transformation of Toronto’s west end as master plan architect for Galleria on the Park—a dynamic redevelopment of the former Galleria Mall into a vibrant, mixed-use community. Anchoring the southwest corner of Dufferin and Dupont Streets, Galleria III stands as a defining architectural landmark and the flagship residential tower of the master plan.
Rising 31 storeys, Galleria III introduces 427 residential units to the Junction-Wallace Emerson neighbourhood, offering a diverse mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. At grade, the building contributes over 50,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, fostering a pedestrian-oriented streetscape that supports local businesses and cultivates a walkable, human-scaled environment. Residents also benefit from 21,000 square feet of wellness-focused amenities, reinforcing the project’s commitment to livability, community, and urban renewal.
The tower’s design pays homage to Toronto’s beloved flatiron buildings of the 1920s through signature curves, rounded edges, and a deep red brick podium façade. Drawing from the site’s industrial legacy and the architectural rhythm of neighbouring homes, the building integrates respectfully into the existing urban fabric while introducing a bold new presence. Dark metal panels clad the tower’s exterior, while slender vertical guardrails on balconies extend the industrial language with a refined, tactile expression.
