The redevelopment of the 3.8-acre Lakeside Residences seeks to establish a strong sculptural connection to the historical context of the site, while creating a plan that meets the modern needs of Toronto’s urban market.
Two main towers—of 39 and 49 storeys—are located on the eastern portion of the site and are designed to work in tandem, appearing as a single sculptural element. The western portion of the site is composed of a mix of townhomes and low- and mid-rise buildings.
The development is designed to integrate with the existing pedestrian realm, featuring an arching pathway that connects the site to the pedestrian network of the Daniels Waterfront – City of the Arts to the west, and to the large, existing park, Sherbourne Common, to the east.
