Outgrowing their former Queen Street West location designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects in 2004, Mongrel Media Inc. has moved north to make a new home on the second floor of a Dundas Street West building. The new office for Mongrel Media Inc., a leading independent film distributor, is an open-concept design that combines professional workspaces with communal eating and leisure areas. With several gathering spaces, an open-concept kitchen, and a ping pong table separated by framed glass walls from the workspace, this design allows for a productive and professional office that is both social and comfortable. The design preserves some of the familiar features of the original Queen West office but improves the new space with several desired additions.

A welcoming reception area, private and shared meeting rooms, and an updated workspace all contribute to an enhanced office environment.

Exposed ceilings and whitewashed brick are complemented with warm wood flooring and sleek white walls.

The design for Mongrel Media’s office incorporates both collaborative work spaces and exclusive spaces for focused work, striking a balance between open and private.

The open-concept communal kitchen and shared lounge areas encourage group collaboration and teamwork, providing spaces where company culture is built and fostered.
