Construction is progressing on SkyTower, the landmark second phase of the Hariri Pontarini Architects-designed Pinnacle One Yonge master plan. Upon completion, the 106-storey tower will reach a remarkable height of 352 metres, positioning itself as Canada’s tallest residential building and one of the country’s first supertalls.
Designed to evoke the form of a 12-sided jewel, SkyTower transitions gracefully from a retail podium into a sculpted vertical silhouette. The tower will house over 950 residential units complemented by a suite of amenities including a pool, yoga studio, fitness centre, and entertainment space—curated to support a holistic urban lifestyle. The lower twelve floors will host Le Méridien hotel, a 220-room hotel, integrating hospitality into the residential offering.
To make an architectural statement and mitigate wind-induced loads, SkyTower features a glazed and tapered form with chamfered corners. Vertical fins accentuate its height and verticality with buttressed balconies that seamlessly connect the tower with its podium base. Expansive curved corner glazing fosters visual and spatial connectivity between interior programs and the surrounding cityscape. At street level, a continuous glass canopy wraps the podium, providing shelter from the elements and creating a welcoming, scaled space for residents and guests.
