Dezeen – Canada's Tallest Skyscraper Becomes First in Country Above 100 Storeys

SkyTower has been featured in Dezeen.
Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the supertall recently achieved its 100-floor milestone as it prepares to transform Toronto’s waterfront—becoming Canada’s tallest skyscraper and among the tallest on the continent.
Once completed, the 106-storey tower will feature 958 residential units, a Le Meridien hotel, amenities, and a restaurant on the top floor. SkyTower is part of the larger Pinnacle One Yonge development, also master-planned by Hariri Pontarini Architects.
"The design of the Pinnacle Sky Tower is inspired by its urban context and by our goal of establishing a strong sculptural presence on the skyline," said Founding Partner, David Pontarini. “From the outside, this geometry reflects light in different ways and results in a distinctive silhouette that shifts depending on the angle you view it from."
